Who new the mafia set its routes in Hamilton, Canada.. It really is the last place one would imagine to live. I guess that's the point. R.I.P Mr. Musitano.
Pasquale "Fat Pat" Musitano is of the 'Ndrangheta organized crime family, who was living in Canada. Mobster Fat Pat had a deep heritage within the Italian Mafia was shot and murdered today on July 10th, 2020. Musitano died in Burlington, Ontario in a small strip mall located near a Dollar Tree.
The hit occurred around 1 PM as Musitano was standing beside his bulletproof GMC Yukon SUV with two other assailants. One other person was shot during the hit, but the police have yet to identify the man as he is in critical condition in a nearby hospital.
Witnesses stated that an unidentified man ran from the scene on foot after the shooting. Police have stated that a gray sedan is believed to be the car used in the killing.
Musitano’s death comes as no surprise to those that knew his complicated history and his struggles to keep control over his territory. Musitano and his brother Angelo gained ownership of their family’s Mafia business after their father’s death in 1995.
Two years later Musitano would have Johnny Papalia and Carmen Barillaro from the Papalia crime family killed. This would lead to him and his brother’s imprisonment from 2000 to 2006.
After their release, the Papalia family would kill Angelo in 2017 leaving Musitano the sole leader of his crime family.
An attempt on Musitano’s life was made by an unknown gunman in 2019. Musitano was shot a total of four times --one of which was in the head-- yet miraculously survived and made a quick recovery.
Musitano would finally meet his end after evading the onslaught of the Papalia family for years. The police believe that the Papalia family was somehow involved.
To live like a gangster is to die like a gangster. Rest In Peace.
