'Sexy Beast', An Easy pick for a Movie with a Hard sell.

Sexy Beast (2000) Directed by: Jonathan Glazer.

This one's a slow burn. You know how you know when to call it a slow burn? It's a fat cigar of a movie. It looks nice, and even smells nice, and then the burn starts. You might as well press that burn into your wrist, where you know your sleeves are bound to brush against it.
This movie is going to get mean and dark fast. Ben Kingsley plays Logan, a gangster with a short fuse and absolutely no filter. Also a habit of getting loud when he doesn't get what he wants. He comes to Spain to bring back a thief named Gal (Ray Winstone) for a bank job. When Gal says no, Logan stays at the villa, yelling at him, screaming obscenities, and terrorizing Gal and his wife.
Kingsley is one tough brick of guy, and he says he based this character on his grandmother! It may not be a true life story, but it goes to show that once you're in the family, you're always in the family. And isn't that what it's all about? Family. And a dead gangster talking to you from the grave you dug for him under your pool. In Spain. Where it's warm.
