TIFF. Where the Bosses are made.
Updated: Jan 27, 2022
Toronto International Film Festival may have started out as a festival to show the films from other festivals, but it's eked out its own territory in the Film Market world, and is now quite the Boss opportunity to build up the buzz heading towards that golden statuette next year.

Silver Linings Playbook and Dallas Buyer's Club both had their premieres at TIFF, and this year there are already festival darlings making buzz. You can find the top contenders on Variety, but since we're dropping names out here, this event will see Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep, Michael B Jordan, Taika Waititi, Jennifer Lopez, and so many more that it's not even worth asking - you'd have to be in witness protection somewhere to not be excited about this lineup of old school and fresh Hollywood elites.
TIFF is a charitable organization, a gift to the community. It's a family unto itself, and the lucky descendants of that family are often blessed with some modicum of fame and fortune. MobCity looks forward to the Capo of the Canadian film circuit, and to bringing our own true story inspired pictures to the screen and audiences there. Until then, we can't wait for the reactions from TIFF, for the buzz, for the glamour, and for the great cinema that comes out of this year's festival. Between Fred Rogers, Harriet Tubman, murder mysteries, court dramas, and psychological thrillers, we're sure to see a TIFF awards competition this year!
